Wave service provider which connects GlobalSwitch Amsterdam (GSA) towards DECIX is having a planned maintenance.

Their maintenance reason is "As part of our commitment to continually improve the quality of service we provide to our customers, we wish to inform you INTEROUTE will be performing cable rerouting works on our fiberoptical network. "

Interoute has given this maintenance reference number: 1-4494276851

All DECIX routed traffic will be automatically routed over other exchanges and IP transits.

Update - We are continuing to work on a fix for this issue.

Identified - Corbina.ru is experiencing high latencies to EU.

Our network optimization systems first detected the latency increase on 2018-12-01 16:17:02 UTC and have been trying to automatically fix since then but keeps failing.

The issue has been escalated to local network engineers that have been working non-stop to manually find alternate route paths but apparently Corbina have widespread problems to/from EU.

Right now Germany is still affected (past 7 days latency to Corbina network from DE: https://i.imgur.com/pIs7iFO.png ) while we managed to fix Netherlands yesterday (past 7 days latency to Corbina network from NL: https://i.imgur.com/HQtbJfF.png ).

Will keep monitoring the situation and we are still working in with all the upstreams in each location to individually find working paths

This enhancement will allow internet backbone access to be more capable and resilient.

During the maintenance window remote access to servers will be affected, alternating between total unavailability and intermittency. Servers will not be shut down or restarted in this maintenance window, all activities will only be performed on the internet outbound link.

This activity is scripted among several departments to be carried out as soon as possible.
